From the Tree to the Jar
A Palestinian Olive-Preserving Experience
An olive jar holds more than olives. It holds memories of home, stories of our mothers and grandmothers, and traditions we carry wherever we go.
What it is
The short version.
Join UMMA Center for our second Palestinian Olive Harvest: an afternoon of Palestinian heritage, tradition and community. Bring your mom, your sister or a friend. Learn to prepare and preserve olives, shop from local vendors, and share stories with the community. Every paid ticket comes with an olive jar to take home. Children under 12 come free with an adult (no jar). Preserve the tradition. Share the memories. Take home your own jar.
