ROOTED
Where Muslim boys find their people and grow together.
ROOTED is a year-round boys’ community at UMMA Center built around brotherhood, belonging, mentorship, and shared experiences. Boys meet in a consistent group to hang out, eat together, talk about real life, play, build skills, serve, pray, and experience new things together.
What it is
The short version.
Real-life conversations, games, sports, activities, outings, service projects, skills and creative experiences, Islamic moments, youth-led activities, meals, and informal mentorship. Fun, relaxed, authentic, welcoming, relationship-driven, and genuinely youth-centered. Boys should feel, “These are my people.” Not another Islamic class, weekly lecture, babysitting program, or occasional drop-in. ROOTED is a commitment: boys come every Monday and Wednesday. A full meal is included every session. Selected special outings may carry an extra fee, always told in advance. Financial help is available on request.
